Step 1: Register an account with Vultr

Step 3: Choose the one-click WordPress application
For the server type, you can choose from different categories based on different purposes. Here we want to install WordPress, so we need to choose "Application", which has a dedicated option for WordPress.
Vultr's one-click WordPress application uses WordPress 4.9.8 version, running on 64-bit Ubuntu 16.04 system. It also comes with some pre-installed plugins and themes, such as WooCommerce, Jetpack, Akismet and Twenty Seventeen.
Step 4: Fill in the hostname and deploy your server
For the hostname, you can fill in any name you want. It is not your website name, it is just a label for your server. You can write "123" or anything else.
After you fill in the hostname, you can click on the "Deploy Now" button at the bottom of the page. Your server will be deployed in a few minutes.
Step 5: Access your WordPress website
Once your server is deployed, you can go back to the "Products" tab and see your server details. You will see an IP address and a password for your server. You can use these credentials to access your WordPress website.
To access your WordPress website, you need to open a browser and type in your IP address followed by "/wp-admin". For example: http://123.456.789/wp-admin
You will see a login page where you need to enter "admin" as the username and the password that Vultr gave you. After you log in, you will see your WordPress dashboard where you can manage your website.
Step 6: Customize your WordPress website
Now that you have installed WordPress on your Vultr VPS, you can start customizing your website according to your preferences. You can change your site title, tagline, permalink structure, theme, plugins and more.
You can also create pages, posts, categories, menus and widgets for your website content. You can use the Gutenberg editor or the classic editor to create and edit your content.
